Take this with a grain of salt for sure, but the blogosphere is simply a buzz today with rumors that Apple is seriously negotiating a purchase of the popular micro-blogging platform Twitter (which is growing at lighting speeds, by the way). This “news” has been reported on big name tech blogs such as TechCrunch, although the writer does not name a source or necessarily believe that the rumor is true himself.
What kind of price tag is being floated around? Well, despite Twitter’s failure to earn an income from their very popular website many folks believe that they are looking for a sale price of approximately seven hundred million (that’s a lot of dough!) Time will tell if the rumor is true, but I could see Twitter becoming a major staple of the iPhone if a sale does go through.
