Craigslist is taking steps to make their popular online classifieds website safer as well as at the same time cutting down on the many thinly veiled (or not veiled at all) prostitute ads that have been known to appear in the “erotic services” section of their website.
Craigslist has now promised to nix that category all together, replacing it with a category dubbed “adult services”. The new category will be tightly monitored and all ads will be reviewed by a Craigslist employee before approved. Any ad for prostitution services will, of course, be denied. I am lucky enough to have never had my house broken into, but unfortunately for my Uncle he cannot say the same.
