It can be difficult to advance in the workplace, especially when working for a large corporation with a lot of competition from smart and skilled individuals. Let’s be honest, almost all of us want to move up the corporate ladder, but not all of us will. And for those who don’t, bitterness and decreased job satisfaction could result.
With that in mind, it’s important to do everything we can to improve our chances of promotion, and that includes growing and refining our skill sets. For example in my company those that advance usually have strong sales skills, and are able to exceed sales targets time and time again. So of course, I am trying to improve my own sales ability in order to exceed my sales targets as much as possible.
