Brr, it sure is getting cold. Up here in Vancouver British Columbia (Canada), it has been in the minus (celsius) weather all week, and boy is is ever frosty outside. I am careful to make sure my family has their mittens and scarves with them whenever we venture outside, especially now as we are expecting snow any day. Thankfully, we keep the house quite warm, which is especially important as our small chihuahua dogs would have it no other way!
While it’s easy to keep our house warm as it is quite small and we have electric heat, my parents sometimes have trouble as they have oil heat and sometimes they forget to order oil on time and actually run out. It’s easy for them to forget because they spend a lot of months travelling, but it’s a big problem when it happens in the winter time! I know that some oil delivery companies, like Long Island Fuels, offer automatic delivery which is smart because to ensure the client doesn’t run out. My parents should probably hook up with a company like that, as it seems like a smarter way to do things. Anyway, hopefully they don’t run out during this cold snap as it will be quite nippy and my house isn’t big enough for all of us!
